How to: Save a presentation as an outline to use with another program.
Solution:
Save the file with an .RTF extension.
1) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save As...'. (The File Save dialog box appears.)
2) Select 'Outline/RTF (*.rtf)' from the 'Save as type' drop-down list box.

3) Select the desired folder in which to save the file from the 'Save in' drop-down list box.
4) Type the desired filename in the 'File name' box. (PowerPoint automatically adds an .RTF extension to the filename when the file is saved.)
5) Click 'Save'.
NOTE: Outlines saved as .RTF (Rich Text Format) files can be read by most word processing applications.
